Entangled Threads

The works in this section evolved from a group exhibition entitled 'Entangled Threads' - a conglomeration of textile artists working in different media. As a weaver I am bound by straight lines - the warp runs back to front, the weft runs left to right and creating a tangle with these threads is a challenge. Working in multiple layer weaves  offers the opportunity to mix the threads up - in most of the following art works there are at least eight layers of weave woven on a single warp - plenty of opportunity for entanglement!
